Wood Purse Boxes

I found these really cool lightweight unpainted wood boxes and though that if I hand painted them and added a yarn strap that they would make adorable little wood purses. One is painted with a bare autumn tree with two crows or ravens on it and the other one is of a dolphin diving down (the painting on both wraps around the sides and back a bit.

engraved on the box before I painted it are the words "Boite en bois" . I also drilled holes for the handle and found this really pretty rainbow yarn which I used for the hand strap I also added a pretty sparkle flower rhinestone on the button that the elastic strap stretches around.

Each box measures approximately 4 inches tall and wide by 1.75 inches thick.
