I don't know if I've posted any of my patchwork here before, but I thought I would share this with you as it is one of the more time-consuming pieces I've done.

Sugar Gliders Apron Skirt & Matching Underskirt
This is an apron skirt with a matching underskirt. An apron skirt ties around your waist & is open in the back, much like... an apron. The skirt was done with tiny random patchwork & lots of sugar glider & apple appliques around the bottom. The matching under-skirt is a simple tiered skirt with an applique on the back that peeks through the opening of the apron skirt.

The appliques were created from photos of the customer's five pet sugar gliders (three from the same family on the apron skirt & the other two on the back of the underskirt). She loved two of the photos of the gliders eating apples, so plopped the third one atop an apple as well and added four apples around the back (some with bite marks).

This is the applique on the back of the underskirt. In the photo the gliders were lying next to one another, but I re-arranged them so they are cuddling. So cute. (The one on the left has a blonde face, so she looks a little different from the rest)
