Hello! This is my first post, although I have been reading for quite a while - you are all very talented!
Anyway, my name is Addie and I have been knitting for a few years now, but always kind of give up on projects half way through... Last week I taught myself how to crochet, primarily to make flowers, but I have now discovered how wonderful it is. I'm still not so good at it, but I'm really proud of the stuff I've made thus far...
I got this really nice cotton yarn on sale in Jenners a few weeks ago and I've gone slightly mad with it... I'm in the middle of making a ribbed scarf and I'm going to put some crocheted flowers on it, a little something like this -

I think the colours look like sweeties and it makes me happy! I also wanted to make a teddy for my boyfriend so I got to making this guy -

However, I made him up as I went along and by the end he had quite a few mistakes so I decided that no one would ever love him as much as I do, and I'm just going to keep him - his name is Edgar.
You can see all the blue and pink can get a bit much... I still like it though, I might even make a matching hat.

I still wanted to make the boyfriend a bear so on the train through to meet him I made Benjamin -

Again I made him up as I went along, he looked like E.T until I put ears and a nose on him. Believe it or not on Benji's tummy that splodge is meant to be a heart... I've just realised that he's pink and blue as well, perhaps I have problems.
Also, I don't know if I saw this somewhere or I dreamed it but either way I've been covering badges with little crocheted coats and pinning them all over my hats and jacket - I like the way it looks, but don't have any photos, just thought I'd mention it really.
Anyway, thanks for looking :D
