For the longest time I was constantly saying "Oh, I need to knit some mittens. I should really knit some mittens. I have like a hundred different patterns for mittens, I should really make a pair."
And finally I did. And then also a kitten.
The mittens are my pattern,(but it's pretty basic, I'm not exactly The Mitten Innovator Extrodinaire) but the kitten is someone else's from the internet somewhere.

So this is a picture of both the mittens, taken by my mum, (thanks mum!) and she actually took it from standing in front of me, and then I flipped the picture upside down... so this picture looks totally weird to me. Erm, ok, that's a super-boring interjection.
Here is the left mitten:

and there is the right mitten:

I was thinking of putting some red bow shaped buttons on the ribbed bit on the wrists, but then I kind of changed my mind. I'm sure I'll use them for something though, because they are very cute.
Here is the kitten:

And Super-Exciting-Aerial-View:

I kind of messed this up, because I sewed the head on the wrong end of the body, i.e. the end that should have been the kitty's butt, not realising that the front end and back end were not interchangeable. I then sewed it into a sitting position to try to disguise this, but it doesn't sit down properly, it just kind of tips slightly forward, like it's in mid-run. Oh well. They're super-fast and super-easy, so I'm sure I'll make more.
