Is there a site you lovely people can point me to that is to crochet what knittinghelp.com is to knitting? I just can't figure it out. I can't  hold my hands in the positions the books tell me to and my tension is all screwy and since I'm holding things differently than in the pictures I can't even figure out where the stupid hook is supposed to go and what the hell does half double mean anyway and... AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!
Okay. I can do a chain stitch. I can, mostly, even manage single crochet. People have always told me that crocheting is easier than knitting (I mean no offense by that; it's simply what I've been told... clearly I don't see how it can be true.) yet knitting I picked up easily and crochet is just eluding me. If anybody can tell me where I can turn for simple, very basic, absolute beginner crocheting websites I'd appreciate it ever so muchly.

Sorry about the all text post today, but tomorrow there will be pictures of fun stuff outside my usual milieu. Fabric and wood and aluminum foil and a trip to Ikea. And a word of advice from my crafting adventures tonight: When using aluminum foil in your craft projects, when it is a component you wish to have adhered to another piece, ascertain before attempting to hot glue the foil that it is not actually non stick. Fiasco narrowly avoided simply because I finally bothered to notice that I had grabbed my cooking foil instead of my crafting foil.
