Kitty Condo!!
Jun. 9th, 2007 12:52 amI adopted my baby in December
And I knew he should have a kitty house
I was about to spend $100 on a pretty lame one with only one story
Until my mama insisted we try our hand at it first
After all, it's just wood and carpet.
It came out AWESOME and it only cost me $5.
Yes, that's right. $5.
Alright, this is the teaser photo:

He was a pound when I got him and he's like nine now that we're done.
(We painted that dresser in the picture, too:) )

There's a crappy side view.

Here is the middle layer
Those are bird toys my mom put on
He LOVES them.
Anyone interested in materials/construction:
MATERIALS:
Wood- free. (Found and given to us)
Carpet- free. (A family friend had NEW carpet scraps to give)
Rope- $3 (For scratching posts!!)
Toys- $2 (entertainment)
First we made the wood house. Cut the carpet to fit, hot glued it AND staple gunned the hell out of it. The rope is the decoration to hide the seams. The rest was just nails and such.
I'm so happy with how it turned out. I got a house twenty times better for like a twentieth of the price.
&&&&&&

There is a portion of one of my walls.
Random paintings late at night
And my painted on picture frame!!
We painted that mirror, too:)
--and on the way left is my closet curtains I made!!
