I am trying to make a giant hammer out of paper mache.....
I think that the handle will be the size of a christmas paper roll.....or i guess lots of toliet paper rolls stuck together (without the toliet paper..just the cardboard roll)
the problem is I don't think the cardboard roll itself is strong enough...I feel that when I hold it and with the paper mache hammer on one end it will bend very easily. Can I stuff anything in the roll to make it more sturdy?
Does anyone have a better idea of what to use for the giant hammer handle? I would like it to be the size of a cardboard toliet paper roll.
Do homehardware places sell dowels that big?
I need something with about a 1.5 inch diameter...but sturdy and not too heavy....this seems like an impossiible feat
