Jun. 14th, 2007 04:20 pmone of my little yellow dinette chairs started to look a bit too, erm, loved... so i made it a little cover.
the backing, binding and blue stripe fabric were from secondhand yardage, and batting and the yellow print fabrics used to be a towel, a napkin, a pillowcase.

heh. please overlook the dirty chair.

the backside! this little project involved a lot of "firsts" for me: i'd never really quilted anything before, i'd never made my own binding, i'd never hand-sewn more than a handful of stitches. and yet there i was, quilting away, hand-sewing my homemade binding... and i'm so happy with how it all turned out.

someone else likes it too. he's hardly moved, and there's already smudges from his dirty feet.
it's good the bastard's so damn cute.
