My love. My distraction.
Jun. 16th, 2007 07:06 pmOk, so today was my day for solitary confinement also known as "Messy Room".
It's a pit because I have been sorting my miles of fabric.
It's all over my bed.
Yes, I've been sleeping on the floor.
Anyway.
No one thought to take away my laptop nor sewing machine and serger.
I made this!
((My sister is modeling. The strap is made for someone over 5'5. I'm only 5'2. It's down by my knees when I wear it.))

Front Detail:

Strap detail:

It's for a friend of my sister's who is in town from Colorado.
He bought a bag from me about a year ago, but wanted another...
I made it in about...
2 hours.
I almost kept it for myself...
But, I knew he was leaving soon, and I didn't feel like paying shipping.
Shyea.
The plaid is an old "show" shirt from my cattle showing days.
I bought it second hand when I was a kid and outgrew it.
The blue is an old pillowcase that I stole from my brother?
And the white stars are from an old sheet.
I hand-sewed the little stars on, but machine-sewed the big one.
Major props to my serger here.
I finished all the edges (except for the stars) with it!
The colors match a little better in person.
A flash can really screw up pictures...
