silly me, I didn't take actual photos until the people were wearing what I crafted for them... but that's alright. Who doesn't love an action shot?

We didn't have any money. So I got to make things like I did when I was little. It was really fun, even if things look really juvenile.

For my dad, the hat collector, I made... what else?
a hat.

I got a plain white hat from Walmart, some fabric paints, letter stencils and stencil brushes at Hobby Lobby and brainstormed.

I put my hand on the front, once on the back (as a stand in for my sister's hand since she's in TX) and my kid's hands on the sides and then stenciled "Grand" and freehand painted DAD. Symbolic of his preferred name of "granddad" but also to signify that he's a GRAND DAD (play on words, I know) because he's done all sorts of stuff for me and my sister over the years and continues to do so since I live with him, along with my husband and kid.

For my husband, the comic book fan, I made a T-shirt.
but first, I made one for our little girl.

I stencilled "My Daddy is Super, Man!" and the superman logo.
For my husband's shirt, I stencilled "My kid thinks I'm Super, Man!" and the logo.

Another cute play on words. Awwww.
