Just a little catch-up of some things I've been making:

This is a gift for a friend who loves flamingos. It's my first attempt at this little pincushion pattern, and I really really love it! In the future, I'll stuff it a bit more full before doing the embroidery thread so it's really poofy, but I like this one just fine. :) Hopefully she does too (and she doesn't check here before it gets to her. I don't think she will.)

Father's Day cards. My dad's is on the right, my father-in-law's is on the left. JoAnn (where I work) has this wonderful line where everything is coordinated! Everything with, for example, yellow packaging goes together, as does everything with pink packaging, blue, etc. It's great for when you're in a huge hurry to make a scrapbook page or cards, like I was when I made these!

My husband's younger sister and her fiance had a little family barbeque/wedding shower, and this was their card. The photo is horrible, but this gives you an idea. I love using ribbon on cards. The one on the bottom is glued to a piece of silver paper, and the other one is tied around the square. It says "congrats" there; I inked the stamp once, but pressed it three times so it got fainter as it went down. And of course joined hearts.
Several weeks ago, I posted here asking for ideas about a polka-dot themed party I was throwing. I ran out of time to do anything spiffy with the decorations, but there were still plenty of polka-dots.

There were no utensils with dots on them, so I got a package of those round stickers you price things with at yard sales and stuck some on the forks. It worked! The rest of it came from Target.

My friend, Megan, made the cupcakes. Sprinkles! ^.^ And they were the "confetti" kind, so they sort of even had polka-dots inside too!

This was the lame little craft I came up with. I got some notebooks for a quarter each, and a few different polka-dotted ribbons that we could stick on them. They're actually pretty useful for jotting down grocery lists and leaving notes for my husband, whom I only see in passing some days due to our work schedules.

From back: Cory (dotted headband, belt, and bracelet), Carrie, and Noelle (dotted shirt). Dig the hat.

Me (left) and Megan. The light was behind us so the picture turned out horrible and I had to tweak it. Bleh.
I wish I could've taken pictures of the party favours, but like I said, I totally ran out of time! I finished them up about half an hour before the party started, actually. Inside each polka-dotted bag was: a headband I made with wide, dotted ribbon and elastic, a package of "Dots" candies, and a little dotted card thanking each person for coming. Food-wise, we had those cupcakes, M&Ms in a bowl (hey, they're round!) and I made a salad with chicken and other lovely things. It was sort of polka-dot themed, in that I used cherry tomatoes and black olives sliced up into circles. All in all, the party was a success!
Finally, I whipped this up the other night because.... I wanted one. A friend said, when I posted my bonnets, that she used to wear flowered circlets in high school just for the heck of it. People would give her funny looks, but she didn't care. I got some looks when I went out in it the other day, but whatever. I think it's pretty and it makes me happy! (Come to think of it, that's the standard for most of what I wear.)

Fake flowers, floral wire, and ribbons of varying colours and widths. I ♥ it!
Thanks for looking!
