I made some new goddess beads this week..

The Fuschia Mermaid. What can I say about this bead? I feel like it's the best thing I've ever made (as of yet!). She's made of clear glass with lots of fuschia frit, and silver foil. The colours and textures here are what make this piece such a favorite for me I think. They were hard to photograph. Believe me, this is a bead you could get lost in for a long, long time.

The "Serenity" Goddess. I called her this because there is something about her that looks peaceful, even angelic. She is very calming to look at and to hold. She is an off-white base with some orange twistie decorations (all melted flat), and really pretty strawberry blonde hair (also orange twisties). She has some orange flowers for decoration.

"Tropical Nights" Goddess. This one makes me think of summer fun at a tropical destination. She's made of a pinkish purple base, rolled in frit, there's even some dichroic glass in there. She has purple flowers adorning her hair and hip.

The "Water Goddess". This lady was a successful (in my opinion!) experiment for me. There's something almost mythical about her. I started with a super thin barrel bead the length of her, made from blue and white twistie, and then built her body up around it using clear glass. I decorated with some stringer and dots. She has a blue flower in her hair. The distortion effects of the clear around the base (due to the 3D shape of her body) makes her really interesting.
