Hello all,
It's been ages since I pulled out my mother's aging sewing machine, but I'm really interested in trying my hand at making mini wallets. I purchased some imported "Fugu" (Blowfish) fabric from Osaka, Japan and think I finally have a use for it. It's my favourite, and I only have 1 FQ of it. Unfortunately I can't locate any more of it to purchase, but anyways... To get to the point...

This fabric will be used for just the exterior of the wallet. Some other fabric will be used for the inside.

I was thinking about making a mini folding wallet that would be about 4" x 9" unfolded. I don't have a pattern, but if anyone wants to throw one at me, that would be great. I think I have a good idea though, doesn't seem too hard, even for a novice. ;)

How many wallets do you think I could get out of a FQ? (18"x22")
I was thinking about 5 or 6, cutting it into 5" x 10" pieces. That would give me a half inch on either side to hem or do what I need.

Sound reasonable?.

Also, out of curiousity, for all you pro-wallet makers out there.. How long does it usually take you to make one?.

Thanks! ♥
