iBook logo color change

I don't know how crafty this really is, but here are directions on how to change the logo color on your iBook. It's really quick and easy. You'll need an allen wrench, something to pry the case apart (I used a nail file), and a piece of paper/vinyl/plastic in whatever color you want the logo to be.
P.S. This will probably void your warranty, so be sure to check on that before you go cracking your computer open.

Before picture with plain white logo.

Unplug your computer and remove the battery. Use your allen wrench to remove the four tiny screws. Set them aside so they don't get lost.

Use some kind of thin tool to pop the case off. As you can see, I went with the handy dandy nail file. You should be able to get it apart at a corner enough to get the file in; from there just go around the edge and pry it apart gently.

Self-explanatory.

This little piece of white paper is what you're going to remove and replace. I cut around the logo with a razor blade.

I used a clear plastic notebook divider cut into a shape that would cover the apple logo. I used only one layer at first, but as you'll see, you might want to use more. Anyway, cut it and tape it down in a couple of spots.

Replaced and re-screwed everything. This is with the computer off.

With the computer on.

Aaaaand...in the dark, where it just looks white. This is why you'll probably want to use more than one layer. I pulled it apart again and added two more layers, for a total of three.

Off, with the three layers of plastic. (As you can see, the screws are out, because I wanted to try it out before putting everything back together this time.)

On, with three layers.

And, in the dark, where the logo shows up as a bright blue. Ta-da!
