so remember, wayy back in may i asked about help on a build-a-bear/pirate ship? i dont have any in-progress pictures, but here's the final product. we were determined to get it to her by midnight on her birthday; we were a little late, ended up driving to the next city over at 2:30 am to deliver it to her doorstep. her brother heard us and came out ready to kick some ass, thinking we were trying to break into their cars. it was a fun night and she loved it =)

treasure chest made from a foam kit, filled with a pirate costume from B-a-B

in all its piratey glory! complete with sail, flag (which can't be seen here), rope ladder and mermaid. there's a "seat" up there that Captain Bandit is sitting on, to give him a proper view of his very much not made to scale ship.
