Bag Lady!

A year or two ago I received a fabulous boot handbag from a friend. I was not fond of the solid red rose embroidery so I hand painted it in shades of dark pink with a proper green stem and leaves. People comment on it and often ask where I found it. I searched and found a small site that shows the bags but they have been 'sold out' for over a year. sigh

I finally got the gumption to make a similar bag. This slightly used boot had a side zipper so I utilized that for the opening instead of adding a metal frame. I cut the boot off to shorten it and added a leather welting around the top. Curb chain is strung through grommets. The bag can be handheld (using both lengths of the continuous chain) or used as a shoulder bag (using the full length of the chain). I'm searching for more gently used boots ..no two bags will be the same!

Like my own boot handbag, this one does not hold a lot.....cellphone, small change purse, lipstick....what else goes a lady need? grin
