Mirror: revamped!
Jul. 9th, 2007 05:14 pmI posted a question on here earlier about how I might make a scruffy mirror look nicer.
I decided to glue on bits of tissue paper.

Original mmmmmmauve mirror for mum!

Opened up.

With lights on. That's one of the four lighting settings. It think it's at "evening" or maybe "office."

Flip over the mirror and IT'S HUGE.

My materials. I really only used the purple paper. The others were back-ups, I guess.

Getting there. I just watered down some white glue, painted it all over the plastic and slapped on a bunch of layers of torn up paper, gluing overtop, too.

The big flowers are ones that my mom grew and I pressed. I'd forgotten all about them until I opened a really huge book. I think she'll like that they've come back to her.

What it looks like open. The small flowers are stickers from a scrapbooking kit. It adds just a touch of her fave color-yellow! I didn't want to do the whole thing yellow because yellow layered over that light purpley color would have been yuck.
And there it is!
