I finished cleaning and organizing my craft room last night and it's fantastic. I have too much stuff and it's too small of a space for it to look completely uncluttered but at least everything has a place and the floor is clear and vacuumed. When I walked in there this morning I got this feeling of calm come over me, now I can finally work in there!

Here's my work table. For the time being I stole my husband's lamp but I'm going to pick up a nice floor lamp tomorrow. A lamp is definitely a must though because otherwise my projects are all shadowed because the ceiling light is behind me. My Cricut is on the corner there with all my cartridges. I'm going to be selling this one because I'm buying the new one tomorrow and I'm super excited!!! I bought towel racks from Wally World to hold up my punches so they're all at my fingertips and I can see them. My ink pads are stored in a wooden cassette holder that I spray painted. I've hung up some samples of my work on the magnetic whiteboard and the drapery rod.

This is the wooden vanity that used to be my great grandmother's. It has a big mirror that goes on the back but that's under my bed. I've got all kinds of crafty things tucked away in the drawers, and under it, and on it... hah! The wooden picnic basket looking basket is filled with door prizes for my Stampin' Up! workshops, and the pink and purple bags that are above it get filled with the supplies I have to take with me.

Here's my office space. I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I'm starting a handmade invitation business so I needed an area for all my paperwork. My hubby's mom gave me that wall file thing. It has order forms and things in it for my SU! business. I'm still looking for some sort of basket or something that I can put on the wall to throw business receipts in but I haven't found anything that I like yet so I'll keep looking. I need to be able to get things in and out of it easily and this thing she gave me has small slots that are great for sheets of paper but not so good for little things because it's hard to see in them and get your hands in and out of. Yes, I've been sitting on my exercise ball while I work over there :)

Stamp shelf and dog... self explanitory

This part of the room still needs to be worked on. I'm going to move the bookshelf into my living room and replace it with one of those wooden filing drawers. I'll use the top drawer to store all my 8.5"x11" SU! paper and the bottom drawer to file business and household paperwork. Then on top of it I'm going to put my Cricut so it has it's own little home and it can stay set up and ready to use all the time. I'm going to put the shelf that my FIL made for me above it on the wall and put my idea books and SU! magazines on it. I just can't execute this plan until I sell off the rest of my clothes and make room for the bookshelf in the other room.

Closet area. I made the curtain to keep it looking more neat but in there I have some of those rubbermaid drawer things to organize mooore crafty things.

and just because Shelly got in on one of the pictures, here's one of Benji. He hid his bone in my closet and he's laying there protecting it. He's so funny, he hardly ever chews on it, he just carried it around the house like it's his puppy or something.

Here are some pictures of what I've been working on...

When I announced that I wanted to try to start a handmade invitation business on my journal a LJ friend of mine hired me to make her wedding invitations. Here's what we have so far.

I asked some of my friends to be fake customers so that I'd have samples for my web page and it'd give me experience making things for other people. Here's the one I did for my BFF's fake wedding:

She hasn't seen it yet so I hope she likes it.

This picture should prove I've been working hard today. I had to mail out a copy of the invitation I'm making for [livejournal.com profile] sabyl today so she could see it in person instead of just pictures of it. So when I had her sample all made up with all the insides done I went into the bathroom to throw my hair up and this is what I looked like:

I have no idea how I managed to get ink on my forehead! And enjoy the makeupless face because it's probably the only time you'll ever see it! :)
