beaded headband

pattern: my own. thinking about writing it up.
yarn: dmc baroque size 10 crochet thread in ecru
hook: D
notions: 60 random beads
time spent making: a couple of hours
pattern modifications: i had originally planned an interlocking diamond pattern for the beads... but then i realized that wouldn't work with the bias stripe thing i had going on, so i switched to straight lines for the beads.
the hooker's two cents: so this is my first attempt at bead crochet and my first thread crochet project bigger than a flower. my air conditioning is broken in my car so i always have to drive around with my windows open. this makes for a very windy and mostly unpleasant experience on the expressway. my hair is too short to pull back into a proper ponytail so i wear headbands all the time to keep my hair from whipping me in the eyes. i wanted to try bead crochet without having to make something tacky that i'd never use and a headband seemed like an easy choice.
thanks for looking ^_^
