edit: ok i fixed the pictures. sorry! :end edit

Alright guys, it’s time for a proper introduction. I’m new to this group and I absolutely love it! It’s really fun and inspiring to see what kinds of things other people in the world are creating. Keep up the good work!

I guess it’s necessary to mention that the reason for this burst of creativity (everything was made in the last month or two) is a little bit out of the norm for me. I only started making stuff when I came back from college for the summer. I hadn’t really felt this creative since about three years before. My junior and senior year in high school I went to this art magnet school for half a day while I also went to my normal high school for the other half. I’m starting to think now that having art projects assigned to me and having a lot of pressure on me to make them good kind of sucked out all my creativity for a while. I was doing art, but I didn’t feel very creative. Then I went to school for a year and didn’t do much because of school work, first of all, but also lack of resources. As soon as I came home I just had to make a bunch of stuff. Hehe. Anyway, with out further ado…

of course I had to make a harry potter wand. ☺ very fun indeed.

I’ve also been inspired lately by the felt stuff on etsy.com (my creation doesn’t even compare to that though). Go there and do a search to see what I’m talking about. What I did was just cut out some veggies and arrange them to look cute. Hehe. Perhaps I’ll do more with them later but for now, here’s what I have:

there’s two of each of broccoli, carrots, tomatoes (which look like apples) and asparagus down below :P

I love making jewelry.
For this I just put the beads on the jump rings and the pendant and jumprings on the necklace which I had bought earlier

Here’s a necklace I made so that I could use the earring left over when I lost one of the pair. Really fun.

here’s a hemp necklace I made last year. I don’t know if you can tell but it’s been very well loved.

here’s a stretchy bead necklace I made a while back. I loved the beads. They were amazing.

this next picture shows where I had to substitute some not so pretty beads for the other ones. The package didn’t come with enough! Haha I usually wear this part at the back of my neck.

next up: ORIGAMI!

pinwheels in various colors and sizes.

a peace crane ^_^

a pink iris

here’s a shirt I stenciled with bleach. Sorry it’s wrinkly… haha

a purse! First full blown sewing project. Thanks to tiny happy for the awesome tutorial tinyhappy.typepad.com/tiny_happy/2006/06/shoulder_bag_tu.html

and now what is perhaps my greatest creation:
a hot home-made latte. *Sigh*

so that’s pretty much it…

I also have a tip: I don’t know if anyone else does this, but you can save money on beads for jewelry making if you buy already made pieces and take them apart. (sometimes you’ll find more interesting stuff too)
Here’s some of what I got at wal-mart the other day in the kid’s section. Heh!

alright, kids. Thanks for reading all that. hope you enjoyed!
