  I 'm Laura or Chatnoir and I just joined your community and wanted to say "Hi".  I usually work on fabric sculptures based on people or creatures from mythology or my own fantasy writings.   This is my newest piece - The Meditation of the White Cat.   Making this appliqued, embroidered and quilted piece was very exciting for me.   But I now have a little problem with it.  Do I call it an icon, a wall hanging, a tapestry or an embroidery?  It is a religious image meant to be displayed in an altar setting and so icon fits... maybe.   I think of tapestries as woven artworks and it's not only embroidered.   If anyone has a suggestion for a title, please feel free to let me  know.
