Ooh baby baby!

So, first things first, I'm a 20-year-old female college student from Maryland. I craft for fun, basically, and I spent many years in 4-H taking top awards for my craft projects. Uhh, these days it's mostly a hobby. Just something to pass the time, really.
This weekend I made a sock baby for a friend that's having a little girl. Being a poor college student, a gift made out of some men's socks sounded like a pretty good idea. I've made a few before for fun, but this was the first one I made with the intention of actually giving it away.
Let me know what you think! :)
This little dudette took about an hour to make.
She was partially sewn on a machine and stuffed by hand.

Interestingly enough, my friend was wearing a dress almost exactly like the sock baby's.

She's a diva, posing for the camera.
