I'm not sure if anyone has posted a solution to this or not, I didn't see one, so I thought I'd share. Last night, I made my first attempts at marble magnets. I had two tubes of E6000 glue, and apparently both of them had seeped and were sealed shut. I tried prying one off--didn't work, and since it was flooding outside, I didn't want to risk going out to the store (took me over an hour to get 1.5 miles from work to home). I finally tried one last thing--the oil wax remover I use on my legs. Popped right off. Maybe baby oil would work as well? I don't know. The main things in this remover (clean and easy is the brand, $5 for a bottle that'll last half of forever) are paraffin oil and lanolin, and it's safe on skin, scentless, and very liquidy-so it's able to get up under the cap.
Just thought I'd share my self discovery--every place I looked online it said laquer thinner, gasoline, and lighter fluid for cured E6000. I didn't have any of these items, unfortunately, but for those of you who have something like plain oil, it could work. I didn't even have to twist hard. Hope it may help some of you--the caps have been on since at least February, so it's been a while.
