New journal for craftgrrl-ing!
Sep. 9th, 2007 04:48 pmI'm
tmdegenstien, in case you're wondering :)
I'm bored on a Sunday afternoon, watching a football game in which my hometown is losing :S ....so, what better way to cheer myself up and reduce the boredom than check out craftgrrl and make a post?

This first is this copper necklace (I'm getting obsessed with copper jewelry, muwha). The circles are hammered copper - one of them acts as a toggle clasp along with the translucent polymer clay bird I made. A cute little cherry 'quartz' briolette is the focal. What do you think?
Tacky at all?

Then I made this typewriter pendant, using polymer clay (translucent, of course) and transferred the image (from a 60s craft magazine) onto the clay during the first 10 minutes of baking (using just water!) Then I coated it with thick layers of glaze, leaving a tiny unglazed border around the image.

Lastly, a pendant like one that I posted on here a few days ago. A tulip this time, painted onto amber coloured translucent clay, then hung on antique copper chain. I added these really pretty natural lemon jade rondelle beads to match the tulip's colour :)

I have some shrinky dink pendants in my craft room ready to be hung from chain and whatnot - so, off I go! Thanks for looking at my craftiness :P
