Costume help please!

I'm hoping to do a WWII pilot-ish costume this halloween (ok, a steampunked out pilot, but the basic patterns are there...) I was wondering if anyone knew of a good online pattern for an aviator cap with earflaps a la Snoopy. :)
Difficulty: NOT KNITTED!!! Augh. Google searches are useless, as all I get are knitting patterns, and I want to do it in leather/faux leather.
