It's been a while since I put together a piece of jewelry, which makes me sad. I'm stage managing a show and don't have as much (or any!) free time, so I've been in a craftless rut. Sad, isn't it? However, I was sicky pants yesterday, so I seized the opportunity to put together some jewelry. The majority of the beads used came from my mother's and grandmother's jewelry stashes. My birthday was the 10th, and they rounded up a bunch of old stuff they don't wear any more for me to reconstruct. So, here's a piece I made entirely from recycled beads .

In all its green glory.

Close-up of center beads.

All stretched out.
This piece isn't my usual style. I'm kind of small, and generally big and chunky overpowers me. However, I fell in love with these greens. The beads come from six different necklaces, plus the clasp is from another piece. The only new things involved are the nylon wire it hangs on, the crimp beads, the two jump rings. I'm happy with it. :)
Also, I bought a copy of Cloth Paper Scissors this weekend and LOVE it! As soon as I have more free time, I'll be multimedia-ing it up. I can't wait!
Thanks for looking. :)
