Oct. 3rd, 2007 07:53 am hello everyone, my name is angel , i'm a mother of three. A good friend of mine pointed me toward your awesome commmunity, and i have to say that you guys are all pretty crafty cool!
Just thought i'd share a few of my projects as well. my preference is for dolls, made usually from like new t-shirts that i buy second hand at the sally anne or what have you. then i cut out a simple bowling pin type of shape and just sew the legs , torso and head from that, and add the arms on later. Here is one of our latest friends, Hans the Woodsman.
I am especially fond of his shirt which was a shirt that fit niether my hubbie nor i. Now normally when i make a doll thier clothes can come off and on , but this time his clothes are all just sewn on ( Hans is for my youngest son and i cant tell you how many times i've found his dolls clothes everywhere or just GONE! HA!) Hans is about as big as a barbie, maybe a bit bigger, and i love him!!!!!
his hair is just embroidery thread.

have fun and keep on crafting!
