So, my friends and I were in JoAnne's the other day and I found really adorable cherry-print fabric that made me go 'Le gasp! I need a new tote!' So what did I do? ..well duh, I made a new tote. It's all cute and reversible and stuff [not that I plan on reversing it, but the point is that it's POSSIBLE] and I'm pretty proud of it, so I thought I'd post it here for you guys to see.

It's all cute and cherry-rific and such!

Adorable little appliqué from JoAnne's for $1! WoOt! I didn't have any matching thread, so I made do with the same dark red I used for the rest of the bag.

Cherry-tastic lining of awesome and win!

Action shot! [Ignore the hair.. I showered this morning, which is always a mistake.]
I've designated it my Philosophy Bag. Now all of my philosophy things shall live there so I don't have to drag around my heavy messenger bag all day for my ONE Tuesday-Thursday class.
And, since I'm posting, I may as well show you the pillow I made to test out my sewing machine.

My mother has apparently been hoarding all of my jeans since I was little, which I discovered shortly before I left for university. Since I was on the prowl for fabrics to steal, I chopped them all up into squares and made this pillow out of some of them as a test project for Rupert. The back is a large square of yellow flannel, also from Mom's hoard. The squares aren't lined up perfectly, but I don't care. It's a pretty comfortable pillow, actually.. I'm not entirely sure I'll get it back at the end of the year.
And this is Rupert, my lovely little Brother LS-2125i.

As for Rupert's name.. I named him after Rupert Everett, because I figured that any sewing machine that's male is probably gay. And I don't have female things [with the exception of my flash drive Eleanor]. That, and I love Rupert Everett to pieces.

Rupert and my messy, messy workspace. Which has gotten worse since this picture, actually. A side effect of living in a suite of eight girls who don't always pick up their stuff [myself included].
I know I promised pictures of our suite for you guys, but I haven't gotten there yet. Eventually. I swear. Really.
And and and and..my friends and I are totally starting a campus knitting and crocheting club. It's going to be made of awesome and win and [most likely] estrogen. I'm excited. :D
