Oct. 14th, 2007 03:47 amupcycled books turned blank journals, resin jewelry, a scarf I made with my own handdyed/handspun wool.
I am having problems wiht my resin, though! I can sand edges and it's fine, but on things like my bangles I really need to be able to sand the entire bottom & when I do that it frosts the resin - am I using the wrong grit sandpaper, or is that just what is going to happen with resin if you sand large areas? Or is there some kind of buffing process I need to go afterwards,w ith a special oil or something? Also, anyone know a brand of cheap pigment for resin? I cant find any that isnt in packs, and I just need white! I tried using acrylic paint, dry watercolor scrapings, and chalk scrapings and none of those panned out well as pigments :P
