crafty case!
Oct. 15th, 2007 02:27 pmhere's a little sumpin-sumpin i cooked up the other day:

ID case. claires, $4.99.

my boyfriend goes out to coffee shops where he can sit and do his work and not be distracted by all the dvds and video games in our house. i like to go with him and either read or stitch, but i needed to find a more efficient way to carry my needlework necessities.
i cut out the elastic straps from the ID case. for the needle threader, i glued a velcro square to the case and put a little piece on the threader. for the needles, i had a package of DMC embroidery needles, took the little plastic holder out of the package, and glued it into the case. my needlework scissors are small, and came in the leather protector, so i just glued the protector into the case. and finally, i recycled one of the elastic bands i removed from the case, folded it and glued it in as a needle-stick, so no matter where i am, i have a place to quickly put my needle momentarily so it won't get lost.

ta da! just sharing this because 1) i like to show off my rare moments of cleverness and 2) i hope others can use this idea. oh, and 3) because i like to show people how incompetent i am with digital cameras. enjoy!
