Someone posted about DNA necklaces today, and then someone else responded with this link. I tried said link real quick, altering the beads and such (I used azurite, hematite, and hill tribe silver), and this is what I got:

I think that it's too big to be an earring, but I don't have stones much smaller to work with at the moment (at least not ones with holes large enough to be fed two times with a 28 gage wire) and I just wanted to try out the pattern anyway. One thing that I don't like about this DNA strand is that it continues to be bendable even after the initial bend. Perhaps sterling wire would harden more than copper, though...and this probably would not make a difference for smaller earrings.
