I pulled a cardboard box out of my mother in law's recycling bin. It's small, maybe five inches long, with a nice little flat top and bottom. My original plan was to decoupage it, but then I decded to put fabeic over the lid with a layer of cotton batting underneath, wrap them around the sides of the lip, and colorful beads sewn or glued on to the top as ornaments. The rest of the box, the sides of the lower half of the box and bottom, would have been painted, I guess, but I really hadn't decided. I'm just not really sure how to attach the fabric to the sides of the box. Maybe I'm just better off decoupaging the fabric to the top and trimming it against the corners so the sides of the box are uncovered and need to be painted also? Anyway, I could use some btdt or suggestions here...
