Sleeping Mask
Oct. 27th, 2007 04:46 pmHello all! I haven't gotten any photos of my halloween costume yet, but I do have one of a neat little craft I did this week. When I found out that my local CVS didn't have any sleeping masks, I decided to use the scrap material from my Halloween costume to make my own.

The pattern is loosely based on this Family Fun Craft. I used the printable pattern from the site to cut out the mask shape from black satin and interfacing. I measure the elastic to fit my head and cut a rectangle from the satin for the strap. Next I free-styled the butterfly and the flower before sewing all the pieces together and filling it loosely with flax seeds. It's comfortable and blocks out all the light--which is great with all this construction going on next to my building.
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Happy Halloween. :)
