My contribution to Halloween Crafts.
Oct. 31st, 2007 11:13 pmMy daughter decided she wanted to a be a pirate this year, but she decided she didn't want to buy a pirate costume, she wanted to make it.
We pulled together the pieces from old costumes, and a few pieces of clothing, plus a couple of specially made pieces. We did pick up a couple of things from the dollar store that we just couldn't do without.

The vest my husband made from a ladies jacket for an arabian nights party, and it suited this costume just perfect. The sash from an old shirt, the pouch was constructed with leftover pieces of upholstery fabric from a bodice project gone horribly wrong. Her bandana was another craft project that somehow never worked out but i love being able to recycle it!

Girl Pirates Rule!!
And what good pirate doesn't have a treasure map?

And just for fun we made creepy bloody eyeball cookies!
