Hoodie and wallet.
Nov. 6th, 2007 04:08 pmI've decided to try to make a hoodie. This will be the first piece of clothing I've made, so I have some questions. I'll be using this tutorial as a guide: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177602.0 . It's left me wondering a few things though.
I'm still VERY new at using a sewing machine. Because of this, I'm not sure how I can make the sleeves without accidentally sewing them closed XD I'm having the same type of thoughts on how to attach the sleeves to the main jacket part. If you could give me a good technique on how to do that, I would much appreciate it.
Also, what type of fabric would you recommend I use as a lining (something that's not too heavy) and also what fabric I could use for the sleeves. I'd like them to be a little stretchy if possible.
Any help would be really great. I'd like to do this, I just need a little push in the right direction :]
Oh, and just so you have something to look at...

This is the first wallet I've made. I had some fake orange fur and googly eyes, I decided to make it. He has four card pockets, including a clear one for an ID/license. It was good practice for getting better used to the sewing machine. I think I did well enough :D

Thanks for looking :]
