Resin Help Please??

Hey there!
I've searched high and low throughout this community for the solid answers to my questions but really have just found myself growing more and more confused XD;;; I'm an absolute beginner at Resin. Infact, I have yet to even figure out how it all works!

So, I guess the best way to sum up what I'm dying to find out is: HOW DO I START? Are there any good tutorials (besides that TAPP thing that kinda went over my head :/) online or books perhaps that can help me get started? Like I said, I'm beyond a beginner so please feel free to explain things to me like I'm a kid XD;

My eventual goal would be to produce something similar to this:

I'm pretty sure for the first one they use a polymer clay sort of deal but, obviously, I could be way off there too :/ I'd love to be able to make similar pendants for earrings or magnets but.... yeah, I'm just sort of stranded currently :p
