Every year I make a mixed CD of Christmas/Yule music for all my friends. This year I decided to incorporate that mix with my Yule cards:

It's impossible to tell in the picture, but the cardstock I used is all glittery and velvety. It was quite expensive at Michael's - $20 for 50 sheets! But worth it, I think. Anyway, this is how I did it:

1. Cut 1 sheet of 12"X12" cardstock in half. Fold that half in half.

2. Take a paper CD sleeve and cut out the plastic bit in the middle. Use that for your template and draw circles where you want your "ornament">

3. Cut out the circle.

4. Use glue or glue dots to affix a CD sleeve over the hole so that the plastic side can be seen through the hole. Decorate the plastic with Christmas or Winter stickers.

5. Embellish the card to look like a Christmas tree ornament using metallic paint pens and glitter pens.

6. Insert your CD so that the side that the CD player reads is showing through the hole.

I also punched a snowflake out of the back and then on the back of the card I signed my name and dated it.
