20 years ago when I was five my dad wanted me to have a baby doll bed that would last a life time, instead of a crappy store bought one that would fall apart. So he got busy and created the item that's behind the cut. Oh and by the way, the little extra that's inside of it... I made that, took me a whole nine months to do so (Note... it's not a doll lol)

Who would have known that an object my dad intended to be a toy for me would end up being used for my own son 20 years later? My mom had said months ago that we could use it for him, but we thought that it was going to be too small for a human baby (my dad cut the measurements down from a real life size cradle.). Well mom and dad were down in the basement today cleaning and got a good look at it and realized that my Little Man would in fact fit in it. So my dad ran up to the fabric store (that sounds so funny, my dad, the biker... in a fabric store hehe), got a piece of firm foam and some jersey fabric to make a mattress. My mom is going to make a slip cover for the foam later. Right now we've got it tightly wrapped with a sheet. Oh, and for size reference... my son is 9lbs almost 2oz (he's only 13 days old too). So he's slightly smaller than a 12lb turkey.
