 i've made 2 hats starting on circular needles then switching to DPNs. my question is about using the dpns. when i knit on them, the part than i am working with is closest to me. i didn't find the stich n bitch explanation on using them helpful but she mentioned something about how using them 'wrong' will result in the work being inside out. what is the proper way to use the dpns?

i get the basics...the hats are done and everything im just wondering if i'm using them  wrong or something...knitting from the wrong place.
