So my best friend has this thing to go to and wanted something different wear and here is what we came with. We took a plain black shrunken blazer of hers and fancied it up.

I used a silk duponi, black tulle and some black lace to create a semi bustle train piece that attached to the back. I designed and hand painted the back of the jacket with gold and silver paint. The shape of the design was determine by the shape of the panels on the back of the jacket. I decided instead worrying about painting neatly over seams that I would make the design flow with shape of the panel. I added heat fixed silver studs to frame the design. I shortened the sleeves to just above the elbow since this was being worn in Texas and it was still quite warm. I also attached buttons so that I could add the chains and pearls to the front and shoulders and still have them be removable. Let me know what you think. We were both quite pleased and she even thought that I should start selling something like these.

Oh...I also made the mini cowboy hat that she is wearing out of some card stock, silver paint, scotch tape, feathers and a rhinestone or two!
