Kim's Hat in Blue Sky Alpacas Dyed Cotton

I just finished the earflap version of 'Kim's Hat' from Last Minute Knitted Gifts.







(Excuse the model - I don't photograph very well, especially not after hours of knitting late at night!)

I knitted it using two strands of Blue Sky Alpacas Dyed Cotton in Pickle held together on 5.5mm needles. It's the ladies size, and it fits pretty well! It's not for me though, it's to send to a friend in CA.

This was the first time I've made a pom pom since I was about eight years old - I'd forgotten how fun and satisfying it is! I-cord turns out to be pretty easy too, hooray!

I'm glad this is finished because it means the parcel can be on its way soon - the rest of her presents have been waiting patiently for me to finish this up!
