adhesives to use on polyurethane materials?

Hello everyone! so before i begin asking for help - let me state that i have googled until my eyes fell out, and i've read the faq section to see if i could find an answer, (after i placed my eyes back into their sockets, of course.)

alright, so i have these polyurethane (plastic/faux-leather) oxford pumps that i'm determined to turn into obnoxiously gleaming glitter heels.
my problem -- i am so confused over which adhesive to actually use. i've read up on so many different types, but none made me feel confident enough to use. the fact that the shoes are polyurethane is what has me hesitant to use any ol' adhesive. i fear that it won't stick properly.
also, i wasn't going to spray them with a sealer. but, i probably should, shouldn't i?
