Remember me?! With my Shakira skirt question?!



Well, I finished it. I mean, I have to make the sash tie still, but that's only going to take five minutes [I had to go to a Christmas party right when I finished the main skirt part, so I'm putting that off until tomorrow].

Anyway, I think it turned out lovely. I'm really pleased with it.






Also, when I was putting it on my dress-form to check the final drape of everything, I realized I could make a really great dress using the same type of pattern. Slightly less ruffle, slightly longer ruffles, & a tailored top instead of a waistband [complete with princess seams]. Just to see what I was talking about:

Oh, man. I love the feeling of accomplishment after you finish a project. :)
