New machine.

So I got a Bernina 930 for Christmas. My mother & grandmother found it at the thrift store for a ridiculously cheap price, got it serviced, & now it runs great. I had a lightweight Janome travel machine for regular sewing before (I've got a surger as well), so this one basically scared the crap out of me. It has, like, seven times the amount of knobs [& about a hundred different features] compared to the machine I've been sewing on for seven years.
Anyway, I'm finally getting acclimated to it & throwing together a late Christmas present for a friend. It has a lever that you can attach that allows you to lift the presser foot easily. I'm doing some detail work on this clutch I'm making, so it's coming in handy for making it around curves.
Now here's the funny part. I can feel my thigh muscles burning like they do after I'm doing yoga or pilates from the leg lever. HAHAH. I guess sewing handiwork is just as good as working out? Anyone else have a machine with this feature & have something similar happen? I just thought it was amusing.
If anyone's interested, I'll have some pictures of other finished work up in a few days probably. Other than that, everyone have a happy new year! Have fun & be safe!!
