Fabric Covered Button Bobby Pins?

Can anyone direct me to a tutorial on fabric covered buttons that are then stuck on bobby pins and hair elastics?

I have a bunch of super cute Japanese fabric scraps that I'd love to use up and my hair is at an awkward stage.

The only photos I can find for an example are on Etsy and I'm not sure if it's ok if I link there...
