craft silliness
Jan. 28th, 2008 11:57 pmA little late, but here are a few pictures of the Christmas presents that I made for my favorite co-worker...

My pal Monique loves ANYTHING with skulls on it, so when I found this fabric it was a pretty sure bet that I had to make her something out of it. She needed some winter stuff, so ta-dah: snuggly fingerless gloves and a chunky scarf for my favorite "creepy chick"!
A pic where you can see both the outer and inner fabrics: thermal-type t-shirt material with printed skulls on the outside, and acid-green waffle fleece on the inside. They ended up being super warm and soft and plenty thick enough to keep those freezing Texas winds at bay:

All packaged up:

(I didn't make the tote--it's a $1 special from the Target holiday section.)
Other stuffs in the picture: her card, turquoise Play-Doh, and a pack of Sad Wiener chewing gum.
And, of course, a shot of the happy rockstar herself (ROCKIN', of course):

Bonus craft! This is Bob. He's a felt replica of a monster that I made for her out of silly-string and post-it notes after she sprayed down my desk one day at work. Sure, we're productive--why d'ya ask? ;)

The best part about Bob is that the outline of his teeth glows in the dark. Woohoo!
