Rag Doll

Hello, you helpful bunch! For some reason I've got it in my head that I want to make a Mrs. Lovett (from Sweeney Todd) doll, and dress her in the "By the Sea" outfit, the red and white striped one. But I don't want anything too complicated by way of a doll pattern. I'm actually looking for something like the pictures behind the cut.


This is Bernice. My mom made her for me for Christmas when I was four. (I'm 22 now.) Needless to say, she's rather old for a doll, but holding up quite well, and I still love her like mad. That's her original dress, and for some reason I decided to make her an apron out of scrap fabric from my own new apron.


I got on a kick of knitting ridiculously teeny things a while back. *Shrug* But this shows you the doll body a bit better.

In the second picture, you can see the seam where the head is sewn on. Originally the body and head were all one piece, but an evil puppy we had for a while when I was 6 chewed her head off, and Mom made her a new one. (Overnight, secretly, and very quickly, because I would've died if Bernice had gone headless for any longer. Wicked, wicked dog!) The hair is yarn, and the face, I'm pretty sure, is eyeliner pencil and a bit of blush.

ANYway. The point is, does anyone know of a very similar (free please!) pattern for a rag doll like this? I found a couple of sites, but they had five hundred thousand patterns archived on one page with no thumbnails and I couldn't dig through them all. So any pointers you can give me would be very appreciated! I'd like for the Mrs. Lovett doll to have a nipped-in waist like she's wearing a corset, and boobs would be optional, but I could probably fudge a pattern for a more "little girl" type of doll if necessary.
