Traveling notebook

Okay...i bought a notebook today and am going to start making a short list of "suggested" questions for people to answer regarding their crafting habits. People who participate can or cannot answer the questions...they'll just be suggestions in case you get it and don't know what to do to begin (artist freeze...we all know it).

So, if you want to be in on the notebook,

Email your mailing information to me (laurenybeth@livejournal.com). (Please include your email address and your livejournal username.) This is not an ASAP thing. i'm going to hold the notebook for 2 weeks starting tomorrow to give everyone plenty of time to get me their names, etc. This way if someone is on vaca or something, they have plenty of time to get home, catch up on old posts, and join if they want (or whatever).

At the cut off (which won't be the *final* cut off...more later) i will put everyone's name in a hat, and draw. First one drawn gets it first, second gets it second...you get the idea. i will put a master list of names and addies in the notebook so when you get it, cross your name off and send it to the next person when you're done (or put a star by your name or whatever). *IF* for any reason you don't want your name and addy put on the list for all the world to see, please let me know in your email. i understand about privacy issues, and if anyone has any, i will work with that (like keep a master list of names and addys in order myself, but email individual names to individual people, so each person only gets one person's info...the person they send to when they are done with the book.). *WHEW* If for any reason you decide later to join in the fun but miss this 2 weekend semi-deadline thing, no problem. Just email me if you decide to join, and we'll get you on the list of participants. i only have a couple of guidelines about this notebook:

**Please do not sign up unless you fully intend to send the book on once you receive it and add to it. i plan to send it around to anyone who wants to see it once it's full, so you will get a chance to copy anything you want out of it, but we need to all commit to maintaining the integrity of the project. But wait...you're all crafters...i know this isn't really going to be a problem since you all know how important projects are to finish! ;)

**Please keep the other people who will get it after you in mind when adding your contribution. We all have a million and one neat things we do, but everyone needs a chance to add who wants it. Take one page...take three...do what you want...but remember people need to add after you, so don't take 50 =)

**Above all, BE CREATIVE! Whatever you feel like adding is fine...hints, tips, techniques, doodles, patterns or instructions for your favorite project, photos of your works...whatever....just make your pages *YOU*.

i am going to include some other notes in the notebook in an envelope in the front of the book. Please read them when you get the notebook...and feel free to add tip type notes to it for the next person who gets the book (can be just a silly little hello note or a "i found this type of pen or that kind of whatever works good with this..."). Whatever you think will be helpful to the people who get it after you. If, when it's gone round to everyone who wants to participate but the pages still aren't all filled, we'll send it round again in the same order, so the people who went before can get a peek at what everyone else included.

i'm super excited about this and i'm looking forward to seeing what we all come up with!
