The other night I mentioned to my mom (http://ohsocrafty.blogspot.com) I would LOVE if there were a way to decorate my wedding cake (which she is baking as I type this) with different colored buttons (since I collect and make things out of them).

The next day she went out and found a candy mold for them and has spent the past few days slaving in the kitchen making hundreds of candy buttons.












It's going to be a four tier almond cake with raspberry filling and almond buttercream icing. My idea for the buttons is to place them along the top of each layer, sort of like this...








P.S. The wedding is this Saturday in my parents back yard. Only two days to go! :)
