I went to the zoo the other week and they had really cute elephant pillows on sale, unfortunately they were extremely expensive and none of the colours matched my rooms so I decided to make my own!





The ones at the zoo were much more square but I personally like the shape of my round ones better


I wanted to give them expressions and after putting their eyes on they started to look a little grumpy, so I gave them angry wrinkles and they became "the grumpies"


The elephants are made out of home spun and stuffed with an old pillow. I chose cotton because it was easier to find colours to match my bedspread in homespun then in any other fabric. I think if I ever make elephants again I'll give them more fancy coats.
